YouTube Virtual Prayer Update

New Logitech Microphone

All of the YouTube videos that have been uploaded to our channel have been edited by me. I use various software (Gimp, Canva, and Movavi 2025 Video Editor, and ElevenLabs) to put the videos together.

One of the software tools, ElevenLabs, allows me to use ‘Text To Speech’ technology. Basically I can write out into text, and then pick an artificial intelligence voice to create the audio. I have been doing this because I was under the impression that my own voice may not be good enough for the prayer voice overs.

Well, I am looking into breaking away from using ElevenLabs, and using my own voice, and that of my wife as well, in future videos.

YouTube Channel Changes Coming

I am writing this email to inform the current followers that I might delete ALL the current videos I have up, and re-edit them with my own voice.

I will know more by the end of this week. I ordered a fancy new Logitech microphone and have been learning how to use software called ‘Audacity’ to make quality voice recordings of my own voice. The microphone has good reviews, and would be an early stepping stone to better equipment if the channel requires something more down the road.

I would love to break away from using ElevenLabs AI voices, as it does cost a good amount each month, and I think most people are not happy to detect an AI voice in a pray along video – I don’t blame them.

I am hoping that the YouTube channel will help Catholics looking to build a strong presence of daily prayer in their lives do just that.
