A Simple Prayer to Saint Francis That Will Change Your Life. Once in a while I dabble in writing prayers, and this is one I came up with recently that I wanted to share. I wrote this prayer asking for Saint Francis’ intercession to help build faith. It is pretty simple, but I think also quite powerful.

The prayer is below:

A Simple Prayer to Saint Francis That Will Change Your Life:

Dear Saint Francis, my brother in faith . . .

I come to you today, not with grand words, but with a simple heart seeking guidance. I look at your life, how you transformed from a man of the world into one of the purest examples of faith and love, and I am moved to ask for your help. Teach me to trust in God as you did, with a childlike faith that sees beauty in all things and finds joy in simplicity.

In my moments of confusion or when my faith wavers, whisper to me the peace that you found in the quiet corners of creation. Help me to see through your eyes, where every creature is a wonder of creation, every sunrise a testament to God’s love, and every trial an opportunity to draw closer to Him.

I ask you, dear Francis, to pray for me, that I might cast aside the distractions that so easily entangle me. Show me how to embrace the Holy Spirit, to find richness in humility, and to live with an open heart, just as you did. When I am tempted to hold onto what I think I need, remind me of your example, where letting go led to an abundance of grace.

Please intercede for me, that my faith might grow not just in strength, but in depth and love. Help me find that sacred space within where I can hear God’s whisper, much like you did in the solitude of prayer. Let me learn from you how to serve others with joy, to love without reservation, and to live in peace with all creation.

Through your prayers, may I become more like you, a living reflection of Christ’s love. May my life be a song of praise, much like your “Canticle of the Sun,” where every breath is an offering of thanks.

Thank you, Saint Francis, for your companionship on this journey of faith. Amen.
